Simply Thai

Since we liked our meal at the XinTianDi Simply Thai so much we decided to pay one of its other branches a visit.

We started off with a glass noodle salad with shrimp (RMB50). Loved the zingy and refreshing dressing and it wasn't too spicy.

The next table had some prawn crackers (RMB20) and we decided we wanted some too. The dip was interesting but the crackers were good too on their own.
Another must-have starter spring rolls (RMB50). They were piping hot and crispy and not too greasy, but nothing extraordinary.

We tried something new this time: mixed omelette with minced pork and shrimp (RMB45). We didn't really understand what "mixed" was referring to but in any case we didn't like the dish anyway. It was way too oily while the eggs were cooked to death.

Mixed saute vegetables (RMB40). The vegetables were crunchy but the dish was not nearly as tasty as the one we had at the XinTianDi branch.

Our pad Thai (RMB45) was pretty bland and disappointing. Yarn.

With a green chicken curry (RMB55) and drinks our lunch came to RMB340 - a bit pricey for the average food! Will stick with the XinTianDi branch next time.
